Major (Benjamin Moore China) and AD China invited emerging AD100 YOUNG designers to explore urban emotion through color, using the Color of the Year, Aegean Teal, and its palette.

For the Beijing chapter, award-winning studio LLLab. transformed a former glazed-tile kiln in Beigou Village, near the Great Wall, into The Brickyard Retreat—a boutique hotel rooted in the landscape’s rustic charm.

Benjamin Moore’s earthy hues—deep Java brown, Soft Pumpkin, and Sparkling Wine—highlighted original structures and new spa spaces, evoking warmth, texture, and quiet reflection. This project captures Beijing’s soulful character through material and color.
